Pony Club

Being a registered Pony Club Centre, there are plenty of activities available for horse-mad children! During the holidays, we have “own a pony” days, pony camps and rallies. The Pony Club is the largest association of riders in the world. It provides young riders up to the age of 25 with the opportunity to learn about all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding, horsemanship skills and how to properly care for animals. It costs £29 a year to be a member of the Pony Club which includes third party personal liability insurance. Membership forms are available from the office or can be filled in through the Pony Club website http://www.pcuk.org/index.php/centres and select Bourton Vale or input postcode GL54 2HN.

Pony Club Camp

Every Summer Holiday – camps split into senior and junior. LOADS of activities updated every year – please see our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/bourtonvale for up to date information on these. Activities include riding, stable management, yard visits, demos (such as side saddle, physio, eventer visits etc)

5 Day Camp TBC! Spaces strictly limited!!

Fun Fridays

4pm – 5pm term times we run a Pony Club for ages 14 & under to learn all about horse & pony care.

These are non-riding sessions but members will be working towards achievement badges and efficiency tests. These are nationally recognised achievements. We also hope to field a team to represent BVEC Pony Club in the quiz, care competitions and maybe even tetrathalon.

From 5pm – 7pm we run the Young Equestrians Sports Club for 14 – 25 year olds to ride, acquire ground skills and learn how to care for the horses. Find out more on the “Further Opportunities at BVEC” page.
