Hacks
The best way to see the beautiful Slaughter villages is from the back of one of our experienced and good natured horses! All of our rides aim to go for a paddle in the river - as long as it is safe to do so! The different ride options are below and our weight limit is 105 kg/16.5stone/231 lb. We are incredibly difficult to get hold of on the phone - we do not employ office staff and being a small team we will usually have our hands full with horses, clients or stuff! The fastest ways to book are through email (bvecyard@gmail.com) or Whatsapp (07910138465) We need to know the date, which ride you are wanting, the age of any children and the adult riders approximate heights and weights. Our group rides are generally 4-8 people and go out in all weathers as long as it is safe to do so

30-minute River Ride

45-minute Circular River Ride
March - September only

The beginner ride is fine for mixed abilities, and although it is nearly always walk only, we allocate a more advanced horse for riders accompanying children or their non riding partners and we aim to have a refreshing splash in the River Eye en route for all of our rides - as long as it is safe to do so!

1-Hour Tourist ride with Trot
These are an hour long scenic circular rides around the Cotswold villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter, stopping for a paddle and pictures in the rivers.
The 1 hour tourist hack is ONLY for people who can ride PROFICIENTLY in rising trot, totally independently steering at the same time! There is no cantering option for visiting riders
To prevent any other riders booked being held back, we are enforcing our terms and conditions and it will be disappointing if you end up forfeiting your ride. If you are borderline but would like to take the hour ride with trot, consider the private option where you wouldn't be holding other guests back!
Price per person for the hour route is £75
Private ride package for up to 4 people £300 subject to availability

PONY DAYS
Suitable from 7 years for all abilities. The days include a lesson, a river hack, pony care and lots of fun inbetween. Very popular days these are put on for a day or 2 a week throughout school holidays, often used as educational child care for working parents!
Drop off between 9.30 and 10am with a packed lunch, snacks and sun cream (hopefully!) and/or a raincoat (hopefully not, but we do operate in all safe weathers - we haven't dissolved or shrunk a child yet!) and pick up between 4 and 4.30pm
These cost £125 per child per day, £100 to our regular (monthly or more) riders
Saturday Club
For children aged 9 years and over and includes riding lessons, hacks, animal husbandry and stable management - drop off between 9 and 9.30am with a packed lunch, pick up between 4 and 4.30pm. The aim of the club is to teach children to be able to prepare their pony and learn how to care for them as well as riding lessons or hacks every session. The club isn't suitable for total beginners, and the children are not supervised all the time so you MUST be happy that your child can be responsible, appropriately behaved and able to follow rules! You will need your own rider liability insurance to join this club - it is the nearest they will get to owning their own pony without owning their own pony!
It’s proven to be a great way for children to learn how ride, care for a pony and all aspects of stable management whilst making friends!
